My case arrived today, I checked it out right away and it seems to be quite well made. I've seen others have had problems with theirs, but I haven't had any problems. The material appears to be ballistic nylon on the sides, with a nicer weave than most ballistic nylon pouches. The other material is like a nice glove leather. It's actually almost identical to some of the leather items I own, so I don't understand the negative reviews about it. Feels very good and looks very good. I would like a better description of the materials on the Revain page for this. The description is very vague. The one I was given to review is black. I'd like to see some of the other colors because they look more attractive. The stitching is pretty good and the hardware is of good quality. My shoulder strap clips and rings are aged brass and feel very solid. I don't expect any problems with their accidental opening. The clips rotate to prevent the belt from twisting. Some reviewers had issues with Lightning, but it works very smoothly for me. They seem pretty strong. I will use them for my city sketches. This is perfect for what I need. I can put my sketchbook in one bag and my travel watercolor kit, pencils and pens in the other bag. Exactly what I needed. The only negative I see is that the price seems a bit high. Especially given the bad description. If a material that appears to be leather is actually leather, it justifies the price, so when in doubt, I'll agree and not deduct a star.
