I have an older 26" Sharp Aquos in my bedroom and the remote has stopped working for some reason. Most of the remotes I've found didn't have a 'Sleep' button. Since this TV is in my bedroom I use this feature a lot (always) So I was thrilled to find this by specifically looking for a Sharp remote When I received it I added batteries and pressed power Nothing Shame so I need to program something.The instructions that came with it were rather short but definitely effective.I tried the first 2 codes and they both controlled all the functions I needed for my TV.It's a bit bigger than my old remote and doesn't have a backlight .(my old one didn't work either.) But the most important thing is that the sleep button works!And it has a quick response.My old remote control was s o bad that i held the power button down for a long time and finally turned it off. Anyway, it worked for me, and my TV is probably 15 years old. It's an LCD that's about 6 inches thick, not the 1 or 2 inches you find these days. If you have an old TV, give it a try!
