This block converter is all you need to connect stereo headphones to a TV that DOES NOT have a 3.5mm jack , but has a DIGITAL AUDIO OUT port. It took me a while to get used to digital audio cables. The kit comes with a Toslink cable with protective plastic caps. With the caps removed, connect one end to the port labeled "Digital Audio Out", "Digital Optical Audio Out" or "SPDIF" on your TV and the other end to the port labeled "SPDIF" on the Prozor- Box. A NOTICE. A: The SPDIF ports are covered with a cover that slides off when the Toslink cable is plugged in. You may have to figure out the correct position through trial and error. The converter block requires a 5 volt power supply. It comes with a power cord that can be plugged into the TV's USB port or an unused compatible voltage charger. Depending on the situation, you may need a longer Toslink cable than the one that comes with the converter. i need this device for a TV that only had a digital audio output but no 3.5mm stereo jack. With this TV (Samsung 32" HD) you still need to go through the menu and change the sound setting from "TV Speakers" to "Audio Out". Hope this helps.
