Traditionally, suppliers include a bearing spindle. Not with this purchase. There were also no warnings about this fact. And three layers of nasty adhesive wrap and one layer of branded shrink wrap to replace that lost spindle housing. In the first box I opened, I lost 22 discs in an accident while "unpacking" on a dusty floor. Of the surviving undamaged discs, 1 was rotten (seriously, how long did they sit idle before disc rot showed up?!), and about 1 out of 8 failed to record. It might seem like this will save you a lot of money, but with the lack of a spindle and the fairly high failure rate, you're saving next to nothing compared to the brands you're more familiar with. I ordered 2 packs of these drives and wrote my review after using the first 100. Unfortunately, the second pack is fast approaching a failure rate of 100%. I've already gone through almost half of them, and every disc failed during the burning process. And yes, this is a hard drive error, not a burner hardware or software error - I can see ridiculously large areas of error with the naked eye. It's not about "Oops, a little mistake," it's about hundreds of megabytes of data that went wrong.
