This is a super pencil case and I have several colors: red, yellow and blue. The function if it can stand on your desk like a pencil cup is good. The structure of the pencil case can get a little pliable over time as you slide it in and out of your backpack with a bunch of other stuff, but it holds up pretty well. I just think this case looks good compared to other more utilitarian cases. The price may be slightly higher depending on the color scheme. Depending on the color, the zipper can be made of plastic or metal. Not the strongest, but both metal and plastic zippers work well.
