Appearances are deceptive. Very poor build quality.
This design meets my needs. Take a mono source on the jack and spread it left and right evenly. It looks like it will be durable. However, the jack is loose and has bad connections from the first time I plugged it in. Every channel has noise and gaps. I have to assume that the female end was built outside of the usual 1/8" TRS specs. I could probably tape it to secure it, but that's totally unacceptable, especially when used in a mobile environment.
