The release button does not work after the first use. We bought 2 and the same thing happened to both of them and they only worked ONCE! I was able to fix it to recycle but it's a poor design so it happens after almost every use. It's not secure enough for the umbrella to slide back in. There are marks on the back of the release button on the handle that will not line up properly with the pin in the stem when you put the umbrella away. If the umbrella twists even slightly when pushed back in after the first opening, which will happen, the marks on the back of the button will not match the latch. They are moved so that it cannot be reopened. You need to add a couple of self-aligning slots for the umbrella to reset the button properly, and so the umbrella stem will always insert exactly that way relative to the handle! Nothing holds the button in place when the canopy is deployed.
