Review on ViewSonic VA2212M LED 22 Inch LED Lit Monitor 1920X1080P, 75Hz, Wide Screen, ‎VA2212M-LED by Peter Hammon

I've had my old monitor for over 10 years and it was starting to show some age so I started doing some research. A friend of mine has used other Viewsonic monitors in his shop and has great praise for them, so I've tested multiple monitors as well as HP, Acer, and Samsung. I stumbled across this monitor before there were any reviews so I kept an eye on it. When the price dropped during Cyber Week after Thanksgiving, I decided to buy it. I ordered it on Sunday and it arrived on Wednesday. At first I found the amount of extra packing material around the Viewsonic box to be a bit small, but the monitor arrived in good condition, nothing broken. I connected it to my computer and set it up with no problems. The controls were easy to use and in a short amount of time I got the color, brightness and sharpness exactly how I wanted it. Probably the hardest part was going to my graphics card website and downloading the latest driver. Several reviews have complained about the stand or base not being very stable, I disagree. My desk is not very big, but it is stable, so that the monitor sits comfortably on it. Another feature of this monitor that might be of interest to some is that you can keep the old 4:3 aspect ratio if you want. In summary, I am happy with the monitor and the price I paid for it.
