I bought this kit for the upcoming Spartan Super. The backpack held up great throughout the race despite what I had to go through. It sits high and hugs my back snugly, making it great for running and not restricting my movement in front of obstacles. After the race it was mud and mud and when I got home it looked pretty bad. I rinsed the fabric, ran it through the wash and it looks brand new. The bladder didn't leak at all and the lid and straw stopper mechanism worked well to keep dirt and debris out. I only have two problems: 1) The chest strap is small. I'm a fairly average height male (5ft 11in, 185lbs) and the belt would barely buckle at max setting. I had to leave it open for most of the race, but that didn't seem to cause any problems with the package's reliability. It would be nice if it was maybe 3 cm longer. 2) I find it difficult to dry the straw/tube. This is fairly normal for hydration packs and the bladder itself dried out well due to the wide opening. But the mouthpiece and the whistle don't have it. Overall I would recommend this pack despite these minor issues.
