Review on πŸ’‘ Sleek and Stylish Hardware House Bristol 5 Light Chandelier in Satin Nickel - 24"x15 by Brian Price

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not bad for the price (value for money)

The Bristol Chandelier from Hardware House, LLC, model 54-4452, is a modern chandelier with a fairly simple design that goes to fits most interiors. . Below I go through some of the PROS and CONS when looking at the different aspects of the product: PACKAGING. The packaging of the components offers sufficient protection for the lamp and the glass balls. Upon opening the box and unpacking various parts, I found no manufacturing defects, metalwork issues, dents, scratches, chips and cracks. ASSEMBLY - Assembling the product is easy. I'm already familiar with the chandelier installation process, but I've looked at the instructions that came with them and they seem simple and detailed enough for anyone to install this fixture. The hardest part of the installation is shortening the chain that the lamp hangs from. To bend the links, attach the fixture to the ceiling, and remove the links, I used a pair of needle nose pliers, wrapping tape around the lips. This method allowed me to bend the links slightly to open and close them without damaging the chain. You can also purchase a chain tool to bend and bend back open links at your local hardware store or online. As a reminder, before attaching the chain to the ceiling anchor, place the ceiling panel and nut that will be used to hide the electrical box on the chain. This step is easy to forget when trying to hang the chain. DESIGN - The chandelier has an attractive form factor. The white/alabaster glass has character and will definitely be the focal point of the chandelier. The satin nickel finish is modern and the style complements most decorating schemes with its contemporary design. QUALITY - The quality of the candle is not bad, but not great either. Even when trying to twist and bend the five branches protruding from the main body, it becomes clear that the chandelier lacks precision in its manufacture. This results in the tips of the globes not being entirely level. If you look closely at the hanging block, it's not so flawed that you think your house is crooked, but if you look closely you can tell something is wrong. PRICE - This is one of the cheapest chandeliers you will find on the market. LIGHTING - Five 60-watt outlets on this unit provide good lighting. The glow of the balls is beautiful. A typical 60 watt incandescent bulb with an A-19 base will rise above the spheres. I recommend using A-19 based compact/ceiling fan bulbs which remain hidden. GUARANTEE - The light comes with a 15 year guarantee. RECOMMENDATION - I would recommend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to update their dining room or lobby lighting. . However, if you can afford to spend a few bucks more, I'd recommend looking for something a little better quality. I have no regrets about my purchase but there are a number of chandeliers from different manufacturers with very similar designs and I'm sure if I had seen this one alongside a few others I would have spent a little more for a finer handcrafted product. RATING - 3.5 STARS out of 5
