The novelty wears out very quickly when it needs cleaning
It's great as a novelty gift (my dad loved it as soon as he opened it) but it has too many design issues. Basically, it's almost impossible to clean. Also, he doesn't cook hot dogs properly. In most cases it is overcooked on the outside but stays cold on the inside. The only way around this is to cook the hot dogs twice at the lowest temperature. Not much. I gifted it to my dad in December and he has only used it a couple of times since.
