Too big for most cars

I bought these to replace the turn signals on my Fiat 500 but the LEDs are too long. I tried fitting on the sides but it's too big it doesn't even fit in the back. Then I tried it on my VW Phaeton, but it didn't work. Otherwise it is super bright but unfortunately unusable for me.
