I have used several different electric shavers from all well-known manufacturers in the past. I bought this razor on sale to replace a Norelco rotary razor that was no longer cutting as effectively. Before using various electric razors, I knew there would be an adjustment period before I could really tell how well they worked. As expected the first shave was fine but not very close with some missed areas. I continued to use it through the end of the week and by the end of the week I had a clean, close shave fairly quickly without having to go over the same area multiple times. The shaver is comfortable to hold and easy to use. The battery lasts for a while, after which it needs to be recharged. The shaver is also very quiet. One of the features I like the most (apart from a close shave) is that it is very easy to clean. You simply remove the trimmer head, shake out your hair and wash under the tap. A quick brush out from under the blade head and you're done. There are no areas under the brush head to hide hairs, making the brush quick and easy to use and showing a thoughtful design. This is a huge improvement over Norelco's heads, which have to be taken apart and cleaned every month. You should also be able to clean Norelco heads under the sink, but in my experience that doesn't work very well. I like the battery indicator on the case and it charges pretty quickly. I don't shave with electric razors so I can't comment on how well it works. The razor seems to be of good quality, which is what I have come to expect from Braun. I definitely recommend this shaver.
