Some say it's a gray market product. It may be true, but my unit was shipped here in the States directly from Fujitsu. The included software is terrible. CDs are made months in advance so I expected the software to remain the same, but it turned out to be even worse. I had to download a much newer set of TWAIN drivers and software. It works fine on Windows 10 Pro, although Microsoft has discontinued TWAIN support on Windows 10. The device is used in a doctor's office and gets a lot of use so I hope it lasts. There are many scanners cheaper than this one, but this one seems to have the best quality of all. I support doctors and can't afford to be running to the office all the time, especially during the current pandemic, so I decided to spend the extra money hoping it would be more reliable. The time will show.
