Bought to replace the mechanism for my wall clock in the living room. I had trouble finding clocks with hands long enough for the diameter of my clock. Most movements I looked at had hands under 5 inches (for the minute hand) and I needed at least 7 inches. I found this one and figured I could cut my arms to the length I wanted. These hands are made of lightweight aluminum and are easy to cut with standard scissors. I've been using it for almost 2 weeks and so far it's kept perfect timing. I was a bit concerned that the included hanging hook would get in the way as my watch already had a bracket attached. Luckily, the hanging hook isn't permanently attached (it just slides over the shaft before you thread the shaft through the dial).
