After opening up the mouse and inspecting the contacts, I can confirm that everything is in working order. And I came to the conclusion that the problem was with the button that the key is pressed on. It does not operate when pressed conventionally (pressing the plane from the key), but if you provide a point force to the center of the button (for example, using a thin screwdriver), everything works properly. I was able to resolve the issue by inserting a little gasket in the space between the key and the button. As a result, we went out and purchased a gray version of the same mouse.
