It doesn't compare to $500+ VR sets. But if you've used Google Cardboard and want something more comfortable to "carry", this is a great upgrade. Product: 1) The build quality is very solid. The board is pretty good too. 2) Fits well on my head and is as comfortable as you would expect. 3) You connect your phone to it and go. It launches the app when the headset makes a "click". 4) For most applications you do not need to use the remote control. You can swipe the area on the right side of the glasses to scroll. And on top of that there are home and back buttons. Even louder/quieter. Cons: 1) My remote kept dropping wifi due to interference. I ended up buying a new hotspot with a 5GHz radio because 2.4GHz WiFi will drive you crazy with constant WiFi dropouts! 2) One of my eyes sees worse than the other. The focus wheel adjusts both sides so the focus is not fixed. 3) Occulus makes some pretty good apps. But most apps (including Samsung VR) are still not sophisticated enough to wear for more than five minutes. Would you like to watch TV while lying down? Spring . that seems possible. 4) Most apps are not immersive. You will only observe what is happening around you. Mostly in shockingly bad quality. Most apps aren't even 3D. boo! 5) There is a place to connect the USB cable. I thought it was great because I could charge my phone while using VR. No, however, you cannot charge your phone. This is for a supplement. So you can only use this headset as long as your battery lasts. 6) Face vents are not big enough. It still gets "steamy inside" and you end up with condensation in the corners of your field of vision (after wearing it for a while). 7) Out of the dozens of applications I've tried, there are maybe three worthy ones. And one of them is Netflix!
