will not stick to material

The most important property of an adhesive, epoxy, sealant or caulk is its ability to adhere to the surface being repaired, bonded or sealed. I found that after grinding and cleaning the dry copper tubing, softening and mixing this product as directed, and pressing it into the material, it didn't stick. at all. Because it's a putty, not a sealant. If you have ever worked with other fillers, you will have noticed this too. They do not stick, they enclose and then harden if necessary. I'm questioning the whole concept of using putty for this purpose and resorting to a quality sealant like polyurethane or even wet epoxy instead, but just dump the putty. Stupid.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE, once cured can be drilled, threaded, filed, sanded and painted. WaterWeld has a setup time of 15-25 minutes, is rated for a tensile strength of 900psi and can withstand temperatures of up to 300F.
Cons
  • A newer model could have been selected
