Eager to get back into collecting vintage audio from my teenage years (now that I can afford it), I recently purchased a freshly restored Pioneer CT-F900 vintage deck, and plus the 'test shot' taken by a technician during the modification of the machine prior to shipping. Wow! I understand this is a 'regular' offset ribbon compared to the more expensive, high offset offerings, but I'm seriously impressed that I've also recorded from Apple Radio and from my iTunes I can say that with the right equipment it can be reasonably good and can handle anything from classic rock to classic I recommend toning down the high frequencies with an EQ to reduce the background hiss seen on some recordings Now to save up some vinyl and start having fun building my library again Between Chen TDK and Maxell UR 90 this should suit my needs on my budget, it's a lot of fun and a great product.
