Bought mainly because the face recognition function works well. I don't really need it for security, but it's fun. As others have pointed out, the image quality isn't as good as high-end cameras, but good enough for video conferencing. Rely on the built-in Windows camera software, which can adjust the brightness of the image, but nothing more. You can't change the field of view, which is how I originally interpreted the display. Since I set up my W10 setup without the Hello feature, it wasn't really plug and play - I had to go through some non-obvious steps with additional user guidance.
