Gave this to my husband for Father's Day and he loved it! We finished it together while baby slept to make hand and footprints easier and it turned out really well. It's hard to get clay flat and not cracking in the right place with just a small wooden dowel, but we managed. It's also very difficult to position the letters in the guide as you have to trim each side to fit with no gaps. This was a very difficult process and if you are planning on making casts of sleeping babies I would recommend that you cut out all the letters and numbers before starting the clay. Once you've completed the tedious part of arranging the letters and numbers in the manual, the rest is pretty easy and these instructions will be very helpful. Loved that there were spots for pictures and the size of the sound room was just enough to include a handprint and a footprint (our baby was about two months old when we did this) as well as the measurements, name and date of birth. Make sure you plan your distance before you print the tone and remember that the frame mat will cover part of the tone space. Also, to make sure all the details of the letters and numbers are visible, make sure you press the guide all the way down, otherwise you may have faded prints or missing center cutouts, and the letters and numbers will just be outlines. A VERY cute gift and fun activity!
