Review on Automatic Sharpener Sketching Rechargeable Prismacolor by Denise Davis

I was glad to get this sharpener. I use a different brand of electric sharpener but I was unhappy with how it handled my charcoal pencils. I inspected it, loaded it and added the old Ticonderoga I had. "God!" I thought he ate the pencil up to the tip! I pushed until the motor stopped and pulled out the longest and sharpest line I've ever seen! Concerned about how much pencil I had used, I inserted a new Ticonderoga. Nice again, long walk. I tried it with another unsharpened pencil and lo and behold! It was just as long, from the end to the beautiful end! I will have to get used to the long, elegant tip that this sharpener leaves behind. The sharpener works better than I can currently use. But I will! I tried the new Blackwing Pearl. First to set the stub. The wood was long and elegant, and the lead was blunt. On the next adjustment, the wood was still long, but the leader wasn't as short. The same with the third setting. The fourth click on the setting made the guide as sharp as I'm used to. The sharpest setting left the sharpest of all, and again the pencil was new, unused by the sound of it. I've used the pencil for some rough sketches and the tip stays usable longer than before due to the length of the tip. Nice! One comment I have concerns the dial. The indicators are not very raised and are the same color as the plastic. Black. I fixed this by drawing all the other indicators and now it seems easier to tell where I'm sharpening. The waste opening is easy to open for cleaning and the clear window must be closed for operation for safety reasons. The device charges via the built-in USB cable and works with the included power adapter or directly from your computer's USB port. The cord is very easy to roll into a secluded hole. Practicability. The lithium-ion battery is replaced via a screw panel on the underside. The device is durable and does not require a second hand to hold it during operation. Very beautiful and attractive. Oh yes, and the charcoal pencil? My Mars Lumograph, 8B has a 3/4" neck point. IMPRESSIVE! Pictured is Mars Lumograph. I highly recommend this sharpener and this company, Afmat.
