Toothpaste Side Effect

I was looking to replace my plastic toothbrushes so I decided to give these a try. The "back side" of the toothbrush irritated the inside of my cheeks and lips. I don't know if the bamboo structure was to blame or if I was allergic to it. The irritation started when I started using the brush and went away after a few days when I stopped using it. The bristles are also quite stiff for a product labeled "soft". I bought a multi pack so I plan to use them for crafting and house cleaning. I plan to look for other ways to reduce the amount of plastic in my life, but this product didn't work for me.
