The fit is great, take your first guess. Slightly thinner than the UA thermal jacket.
I run plus sizes on most shirts (neckline 16.5 inches and slim fit shirts 34/35 on collared shirts). I bought a medium size because I like that the base layers are tighter so they don't move around a lot. The fit was perfect, long enough to tuck pants in and not ride up. will be a good thermal base layer.
