Review on 💻 Enhanced Belkin Easy Transfer (F5U279) by Erick Bowers

Well, as some other reviewers have pointed out, it takes a few times. I would say that the third time is nice. The first two times, both computers sat paralyzed. No light flickered, nothing. And I kept getting multiple Smart Ram error messages on my old machine. As a result, both machines rebooted twice. I then did what I had to do before I started and ran some diagnostics and fixes on my 5 year old laptop, which has been a bit strange lately. After that everything was pretty easy. Luckily I read the instructions first. The CD that came with the cable made it easy to install the necessary software on your old computer. Following the on-screen instructions, the third attempt went very smoothly, with visible movement signs and a bar showing how long it would take. Actual transfer time was 60-90 minutes for around 14GB of files and user information. I don't like that you don't see what's being broadcast until it's done. And some things were postponed unnecessarily. He loaded the Corel folder into Program Files, but of course didn't give me the appropriate software to run WordPerfect. I think it really doesn't matter. He transferred my iTunes. I got today's Webshots wallpaper on my desktop, but not my Webshots photo files that I've accumulated over the years. So, little minor hiccups, but I think overall it worked out better than I was hoping. I'm glad I bought it, it made a very stressful procedure pretty easy.
