The baseboards in the house have recently been replaced. I accidentally bought these 3" doorstops as a replacement. Our doorstops used to be the standard 4" length. After installing the first one, I found that 3" is better for us because the door sits more evenly against the wall. ATTENTION - you will need to measure how far your doorknob protrudes from the door and then subtract the width of the skirting board to ensure there is still enough clearance to the wall.The doorstop is used to prevent the door handle from damaging the walls.The Installing a doorstop that still allows the doorknob to bang against the wall is of no use.
