This is a wide angle lens. On my Sony a6300, I wanted to see how wide it could be. I put it on the table top and put a tape measure in front of it at the minimum focusing distance. It is capable of displaying over 12 inches wide. Two photos were taken at f/2.8 and f/22. These photos came straight out of the camera without any editing. The lens hood will not appear as vignetting unless the lens hood is rotated. The darkness at the bottom of the photos is due to the camera body blocking the kitchen light. The lens hood can be removed, but be careful not to unscrew the front lens cap that holds the outer lens in place. Another thing to watch out for is your hands. The lens is so wide that if you don't push your fingers back, you might find that your hands are in the frame. The photos I get are sharp enough to justify the low price of $130. This lens isn't for everyone, but I wanted to try it.
