Review on KEF Standmound Speakers Gloss Black by Michael Gonzales

Probably the best bookshelf speakers you can buy even if you increase your budget significantly. It's hard to believe that the sound doesn't come from two towers. The sound is well balanced (not as bright as older KEF models) and while the R3 isn't a very powerful speaker, the sound quality, speed, resolution and 3D soundstage are phenomenal. After listening to the speakers I had to go back and check the performance as I found the bass to be really great. How can they be "only" 52Hz at 3dB? The build quality is great too and I must also add that the walnut color is great and gets a lot of compliments from non-audiophile visitors. All you need is really strong frames, some breathing room, and you'll be a happy hiker.
