Not a bad price. I see the problem in old technologies being used for "new” ideas. MEN have not traditionally used straighteners, so they usually don't know what technology is used in modern heating devices that women have. Being an emo kid at heart, I've still been using more expensive hardware for 10 years... the thing isn't even that good... but it works. Not sure about the choice of silicone fingers or why I have a huge rectangle sticking out of the center, but it does the job. Rapid heating through copper lines is not possible. AGAIN for the price it works...but I would have paid more for an iron which was JUST and an iron rather than a bag of cheap 'starter' materials. Traditional flat irons can go faster and really straighten out those curly bastards, but they can be more difficult to use than a brush. 5 stars for the idea 3 stars for the build quality I'd ditch the extra items and lower the price a bit if you're trying to shove more out the door. As a replacement, thermal protection would be an excellent alternative.
