One of the main reasons I bought these cameras was for the time lapse function. Unfortunately, an application is required to function - there are none in the software or in the Windows browser. Well, the app crashes every time I try to play a time-lapse video and there's no way to load it without playing it first. But you can remove the micro SD card (the card is needed for time lapse) and access the files on it - these are mp4 files. At the same time, the quality is rather poor - 896x512 pixels. So the bottom line is to skip the time-lapse feature. As an IP camera, it's pretty damn good. You have to install it with their software, but it takes a few seconds and is really quick and easy. My dashcam didn't recognize the camera but I was able to add it manually via IP address etc. The quality is top-notch and there's a handy reset button (you'll want to hide it after installation, as anyone can access it). .)
