This isn't my first 2m or my first Yaesu, but I've had a hard time programming it to hit nearby repeaters. I finally figured it out and it's now very easy to make changes, add memory channels and manipulate other features. I have a homemade 1/4 wave antenna, even with a roofline, and I can hit repeaters 50-60 miles away. I've been told the transmissions are "rock solid" and "completely silent" and couldn't ask for more. Remember you will need a 12 volt power supply capable of delivering at least +/- 16 amps.
