Okay, so I've had a queen split bed for 20 years and have always used twin XL sheets. Then I discovered (yes!) that the Twin XL bedding is not the same as the Split Queen. For years I put up with extra material in the middle because the Twin XL is wider than the Split Queen. In short, after a long search I decided to try these mattress pads. When they arrived I was concerned there was only 1 protector in the package and there were 2 of them! They fit great. I was also concerned that they might "wrinkle" since they have a waterproof backing. but no, they are very quiet. The top layer of terry cloth is wonderful. Feel free to buy these if you have a split queen bed!
