Addendum to my review: I've had it for months now, 5 speed traps - speed camera tickets 0. Also found dozens of police cars long before I saw them. Original Rating: This detector works very well. I would say it paid off. There are 2 reasons I didn't give it 5 stars. First, the window mount is a bit flimsy. When I used it, I was still leaning against the dashboard. I don't even use it now. I glued it to one of those sticky pads. Second, the display is outdated. It is red when scanning and red when warning. For the price I would have expected a better display. Despite these shortcomings, I am satisfied with how the sound decreases after a few seconds. The constant buzzing, like in the original passport, was annoying. So this is a nice feature. The filtering out of non-police shop window radars and other lane control radars also works very well. Keep in mind it's still picking them up, but you can tell it's not police radar. I had him on full alert set a speed trap about a mile away. Definitely worth the price of the detector.
