Having used this on the range with about 200 balls, I think it is a useful tool and will help develop consistency. It certainly makes playing on the range more fun. It registered almost all of my shots and I found the ball could be anywhere within about a six inch wide path and still work. It does appear to be affected by the quality of the range balls and was giving me slightly shorter distances than I get on the course. However, knowing that, the data is still useful.On the negative side, its accuracy is not good with some types bad shots! For example, if you hit a ball thin, it grossly exaggerates the distance. You can only delete bad shots from your data collection by selecting rows in the app Stats section and the process is slow. It would be better if you could use the remote to immediately delete the previous shot. When you review the data at a later time using the App, bad shots aren't always obvious.For me, the MySwingCaddie app is helpful but limited. Among other things, I would at least like to be able to download my shot data and import it into Excel but there currently is no way to do that! If I could, then maybe I could remove the outliers and get more accurate results. Also, the app is only fully supports the iPhone and I think it could do so much more using the bigger display on the iPad. Frankly I could write a better app myself for the iPhone and iPad, if they provided access to the data.Update: Having used it many times on the range, I still find it very helpful. Syncing between the device and the App doesn't always work, and you have to reset the device occasionally, but overall it's worth having.
