I am happy with this mop. The build quality is better than I expected for the price. The stand is made of aluminum and is quite stable. The mop platform is also mostly metal (I guess aluminum given the light weight) and does the job well. The hinge that connects the bar to the platform is plastic but has a decent thickness. Hinge action is excellent - it twists, twists and flexes almost as well as a metal hinge with bearings. The length of the stick is adjustable with a friction collar. The collar will hold its place provided it is tightened. Build quality is more than adequate for home use and will be fine for commercial use. Assembly is simple: twist the frame parts together and attach them to the mopping platform. It takes longer to open a box than to assemble it. The mop cover with loop is well made. The hinges are tightened evenly and tightly. I tinkered a bit the first time I put it on the frame, but with a little practice it's quick and easy to put on and take off. The short hair head can be easily attached thanks to the Velcro fastener. However, the processing quality of the short-pile head is not optimal. There was enough fluff on first use. After washing it got better. Short pile is better for wet/wet use; The loop head is best suited for dry cleaning. I almost always use these for dry cleaning, so the less-than-ideal short-haired head doesn't interfere with use. I wish there were at least two heads at a time so one could be used while the other is in the wash, but that would certainly increase the price. Due to its large width, this is ideal for large open spaces. covers so much in one pass. Despite its size, it maneuvers very well thanks to its good twist/flex. As a dry mop it gets a solid 5 stars. As a wet/damp mop, the worst quality short pile pad gives me a 4 star rating. Overall grade 4.5. Rounded up to 5. Great big mop especially for dry cleaning.
