I wish to make a few points that might be useful to others. If your coffee grinder has a selection for the level of grinding, it is best to choose a higher setting because if you grind it too fine, the coffee maker won't have enough power to force water through the metal coffee holder. I set the grinding to a third- or fourth-degree angle (15 in total). I recently encountered this and for a while I was baffled as to why the coffee was scarcely dripping; nevertheless, it turned out that this was the issue. Coffee crumbs may become stuck in the holder's little aperture (in the large and medium holder, it is under a rubber seal with a strainer that can be removed). Be sure to remove this seal after each coffee preparation and rinse underneath it as well because the hole can occasionally become clogged and even if you place the holder without coffee, the machine will not push water through it.
