After a few months one of the screws holding the USB input that powers the fan loosened and was gone which is a little annoying and the screws holding the left side of the whole thing together are closed lots of play for comfort. It's not incredibly solidly made, but it still works, albeit somewhat clumsily and effectively. I managed to play Fallout 4 without the troubling protests from my laptop. He has worked and is working for this purpose. I don't have a software or hardware method of temperature control on my laptop; how hot and how loud the fans are. Before use, it was uncomfortably hot and too noisy. After all, it's okay. And the fan is not noisy. I would give it four stars if I wasn't afraid that it might fall apart every time I pick it up.
