Random use - chip detector (no reader)

I just wrote a review and am already updating. I played with it some more and lowered the stars. squeaks for everything. It can definitely find the microchip, but the problem is setting it up for a human or pet. Eventually I found out that he was beeping all over the place from time to time. I put the microchip under my blanket and the stallion finder definitely found it and it was quiet everywhere but it was a big flat area. One of my quieter cats stood still long enough for me to tare her properly and on some she managed not to peep but was overly sensitive. It looked fine on the walls as long as you calibrated it properly. Hkw, it started - I saw a random comment from a neighbor suggesting that a stallion finder could be used to detect the presence of a pet's microchip. I got curious so I bought a cheap name brand product. This. It works. You won't get a chip number, of course, but you'll at least get a beep for the chip. He beeped homecoming, excited and nano-chips. You have to hold it close to the skin, like all conventional microchip readers. Articles on whether it works for this return mixed results, so it probably depends on the actual spike finder.
