I agree with another reviewer who said there was wood dust everywhere when I opened the box. Also, one of the inner dolls wobbles a bit when opening and closing (not a very secure closure) and some of the dolls are too tight together. At the same time, I carefully cleaned the dolls from dust, and now they look pretty cute, there are no splinters or anything sticking out anywhere. They could probably be sanded smoother on the inside, but they're not dangerous, they just feel rougher. inside than you might expect. And the dolls don't fit together that tightly which is a big problem, when I gently nest them together instead of pushing them together it seems to work fine. Most disappointing is just a loose doll (if you hold it up, the bottom tends to just fall off). Additionally, other reviewers mentioned finding a Russian coin in their dolls. I didn't find it, maybe it's another seller. Definitely made in Russia as there is a sticker with Russian text on the bottom. I will say that I was very happy to receive the doll which was yellow above. and red on the bottom because I got these for my five-year-old nieces with the book "The smallest matryoshka" and they look similar in the book. I plan to have her read the book and then look for dolls that I will hide around the room to "reunite the sisters" like in the book. It should be a Merry Christmas! I doubt they'll be bothered too much by the little bugs! Update: They loved it!
