This tree was really easy to set up. This 6' version had 3 pieces which just slide into each other. It's all pre lit and you need to connect the wires together. My kids did the decorating besides the tinsel and I put the star on top as it did not come with one. A skirt for the base would have been a nice touch but no big deal. Storing will be easy to as it should collapse back into the box it came in (make sure you save it! or buy a storage case/bag for it). There are different modes that twinkle, breathe, stay static, etc. for both colors and white. Notably, if you unplug the lights on a certain mode, it will retain that mode upon turning it back on. This is good because if you use a smart switch to turn your tree on and off like I do, and you like a particular mode, you don't have to climb under the tree to find the box with the button to hit it a few times to get to the mode you want. Overall, this is a good tree that will hopefully last many seasons to come.
