It took me a very long time (75-90 minutes) to prepare a meal for my child that I wanted to use this portable steamer for. This is for use when traveling, I wouldn't have that much time when traveling to prepare meals which my child loves. Not saying it doesn't work with any other recipe. You may have to use it once to know it for your needs.
