These templates are very easy to work with. They have a 1/4" seam built in. Place the template on cardstock paper and use a pencil or pen to trace the template. This will be the cutting line. Holes in each corner of the template indicate holes. Use a pencil or Ballpoint pen to mark the holes on the paper or plastic Remove the template and connect the dots by drawing a line from one point to the other This line will become the sewing line If you want a larger pattern you can use the Trace the template and use this line as your sewing line, but remember that you should not cut along this line, add an extra 1/4" to the inch to accommodate the seam allowance. You can play with the patterns to create your own designs and shapes for your quilt, you are only limited by your own imagination.
