Review on Monoprice Blackbird H.265 HDMI Over IP Kit: 328ft Range, 1080p Full HD, Web GUI Controls by Edwin Kreps

I bought a set of these. Assembly was easy despite the poor instructions. I had to guess the default login password, which wasn't documented in the manual but was pretty obvious. The video was beautiful. What's really cool is that the encrypted video stream can be accessed and viewed on a PC or mobile device using VLC and the URL provided in the manual. Where the product falls short and why I ended up bringing it back is audio support. The device only supports PCM 2.0CH, 48kHz audio. If you must use AC3 or DTS audio, forget it. In my case I had 2.0 channel PCM audio that wasn't at 48kHz and the beautiful video equipment was quiet. If this device were updated for better audio support I would give it 5 stars. At the moment it's 3 stars because of bad audio support.
