Review on BRIO World 33214 - Freight Battery Engine - Wooden Toy Train Set for Kids Age 3+, Green by Jason Daves

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Interchangeable access.

I bought this Brio freight train for my son, at the same time I bought the Brio steam engine (both battery operated) and he used them less than the Brio steam engine but the rubber on the wheel because the is freight train worn to plastic. Without rubber, the train cannot go uphill. No big deal, I removed the rubber and added an equal amount of rope on either side to fill the hole just enough for the rubber to show. When removing the rubber on one side I see that there is a gap in the rubber. Anyway I put the elastic on without tearing it and it works great but since I left town my 3.5 year old son has been calling me and saying the freight trains aren't running anymore. A few weeks later I come home and call Brio support in the US to see if they sell replacement tires. Not only do they not sell them, they can't even tell me where to get rubber parts because the trains are made in China. I have no problem with them being made in China, but when I asked the customer service rep if any of the other customers had the same issue, she brushed me off completely, just repeating that they didn't know where to get a replacement rubber part for the tire. . Here I am wondering if anyone had the same problem or knows where to get a rubber tire.
