Excellent as shorts and as swim shorts!
Okay, I am 5'2". I have a 52 inch waist. I'm not proud of it but you need this info to know that the 4X shorts fit me perfectly. They have elastic around the back and a working draw string in front. The fly area has a black panel sewn in so if it were to open nothing is exposed. They are modest in the water and good to wear as regular shorts. The hit me right at the knee cap. Great length for a 58 year old lady. I got the aqua blue and it matches a casual top I own so well that I wear these during the day and to the pool. They are light weight but solid fabric. They wash up great. They fold down to nothing if you were packing a suitcase. Love, love, love! If I could afford it I would get a pair in every color!
