I used this with an A6000 with a 16-50mm lens. So far it works fine with some caveats.1. You need to connect via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. To do this, you need to launch the phone sync app in the camera. This allows the G6Max to connect and control camera functions.2. I noticed that the video capture button doesn't work on the G6 Max. You need to press the video capture button on the camera. I hope they find a way to do this, but I think it's a technical limitation of the camera.3. Feiyu ON App works on my Samsung S7. All functions work except the panorama shot which stops halfway to panorama mode. This is probably an error. I tried it with the iPhone 6 and the panorama function works. The time span is a little problematic, or maybe I got it wrong.4. When using active tracking on the iPhone 6, I noticed that it wouldn't track me or the object I tagged. Other features work, but no active tracking. I tried it with iPhone 10 and it worked fine. It could be an OS alignment and compatibility issue. When I used active tracking on the Samsung S7 it worked correctly, but I found it difficult to lock onto the subject if you set the PAN and TILT speeds to slow. The solution is to set the PAN and TILT speed to fast.6. In order to optimally balance smartphones of all sizes, the base mounting plate must be redesigned. iPhone 6 cannot be balanced when using an existing smartphone holder. You must position the phone holder so that the clip is facing outward (away from you) so that it can be balanced. If the clip is facing you, it is not optimally balanced. it will still work, but the tilt motor will work a little harder. I would like the mounting plate to allow me to move the phone holder forward a few more millimeters for optimal balance. As this wasn't possible due to the adjustment slot restricting me, I made a mount that allows me to move the phone holder forward a few millimeters to balance the iPhone 6 optimally. This should work for other smaller phones. also.7. Battery life is approximately 7 hours (more or less) when fully charged, although it does take time to charge.8. I also tried a 50mm portrait lens and it was perfectly balanced too.9. It would be nice if the battery was replaceable.10. The front camera of the iPhone 6 does not support active tracking.11. I can control the gimbal from my smartphone, but I don't usually do it. This is convenient, especially when mounting the gimbal on a tripod. I would like to use the Feiyu ON functions when using a smartphone, but this is not the case. The app needs improvement. The gimbal itself is great for my A6000. For the price, I think this is a great stabilizer for mirrorless cameras. Buy a dedicated smartphone stabilizer if you intend to use your smartphone for video recording more often. It's cheaper and easier to carry.
