This nylon thread is not sticky/tacky like water tape. It runs evenly and smoothly, stopping leaks between garden hose connectors. You may need to use a little more of it than plumbing tape when wrapping, but it's a little less messy. And if you don't succeed the first time, you can unfold it and pack it back.
