Sticky tonding didn't help pull the button out. I used my precision screwdrivers to pry the whole block out and then toggled the knob. This is easy to do with precision screwdrivers, but be careful when doing it. It actually took me less time to do it this way than playing with clay. But overall I wasn't sure I liked the look. at the beginning but after a week i prefer it now. My interior is all black with red stitching so the red ring around the button matches the interior perfectly.
