Review on πŸ“· SLIK Mini Pro III Table Top Tripod: Compact 2-Section, Max 10" - Sleek Black Design by Darrion Hudson

Very light and stable, ideal for small cameras and spotting scopes.

Very short and very small. Keep in mind that this is by no means a heavyweight. It's very light and can do so much. Don't expect to put a heavy SLR rig on it and let it do what you're supposed to do. There's no quick-release mount, convertible spiked legs, convertible B-pillar, etc. Because that's not what it's made for. In any case, it has an efficient pan/tilt head and the rod control is light and fast. The B-pillar lock and leg locks are plastic and don't feel strong, but they work great and if not abused will last a long time. The build is solid enough to hold something heavy, but the feel of the tripod suggests it's better suited to low-angle cameras or body mirrorless cameras. If I had to mount a 500mm lens on a full size DSLR, I'm sure I could handle it with a tripod ring attached to the lens. but I wouldn't do it. It doesn't matter what since I use a mirrorless camera with small lenses and a small body. I use it more often for my spotting scope at the shooting range. It's small, light and strong enough to be easily spotted. It's also short enough to be seen from a bench and can be raised just enough to show from a prone position. I would definitely buy it again. I have another SLIK travel tripod which I am also very happy with. Also a Manfrotto/Bogen user.
