Has a nice shine but not super shine. Fairly tight but not too tight (holds where needed, doesn't require much (usually) adjustment after each movement). The color is mainly blue-purple (background) with light pink and yellow "lines" - so not as "rainbowy" as you might think. But actually I liked it better than in the photo! This is the normal size for this brand. So if your child already owns one of their swimwear, stick with the size you would normally order. For those who don't understand the size. My daughter's size 7/8 is perfect for a plus size child. Definitely recommend - more expensive than Target or Walmart but if you're looking for something special and not cookie cutters this is perfect.
